Your team will learn how to:

• Understand ARC guidelines for first aid to infants, children, and adults.
• Identify incident hazards and minimise risks.
• Follow infection control procedures.
• Understand legal and community considerations, including duty of care.
• Recognise CPR techniques and differences for different age groups.
• Understand signs, symptoms, and management of various conditions and injuries.
• Know remote considerations in first aid, including communication equipment and environmental factors.

They will practice:

• Using Australian guidelines to manage an unconscious, but breathing person.
• Manage unconscious, non-breathing adults, infants and children, including CPR and AED use.
• Hand over to emergency services and provide accurate incident reports.
• Managing various first aid emergencies like anaphylaxis, asthma, bleeding, fractures, etc
• Respond to simulated remote first aid incidents, including assessing vital signs and providing treatment.

We provide a certification for remote first aid that’s valid for 3 years. This certification demonstrates your competence in remote first aid, making you a valuable asset in any outdoor or isolated work environment.
