Childcare first aid training is a specialised program for professionals working with children, such as teachers, childcare providers and babysitters. It’s distinct from other first aid courses as it focuses on scenarios you might encounter while working with children. These include asthma attacks, choking on small objects, allergic reactions and more.
Is childcare first aid training hands-on?
Yes, childcare first aid training includes a hands-on component to ensure participants can confidently apply their knowledge in real-life situations. It’s essential for mastering skills like CPR, choking response and wound care.
Is childcare first aid training mandatory?
It depends; your employer or the region you are working in might have their own requirements for individuals who work with children. Compliance requirements may vary, but we believe first aid skills are valuable when working in the field of childcare and education to ensure children’s safety.
